This kit is used for quantitative determination of myeloperoxidase (MPO) in human serum, plasma and whole blood in vitro. Myeloperoxidase (MPO) is a white blood cell enzyme containing heme cofactor secreted by neutrophils, monocytes and macrophages of some tissues. When subjected to inflammation or oxidative stress, neutrophils are activated and release MPO. The level of MPO in blood can predict the risk of cardiovascular disease in early stage. The change of MPO level can reflect the state and severity of inflammatory reaction to a certain extent, and it is of great significance for clinical assistant diagnosis of acute coronary syndrome and other diseases.
